Red Dragon Beta Alanine Review
There are many areas in your life that you might think it’s impossible to have too much of a good thing. You might even think that your pre-workout supplement is one of them.
However, when there’s only one ingredient in your supplement’s formula, no matter how powerful the ingredient may be, you might not be getting the best that the industry has to offer.
So when we saw that Red Dragon Beta Alanine is formulated to offer you nothing more than one ingredient, we were skeptical to say the least.
But rather than miss out on a good thing, we decided to take a closer look at this pre-workout supplement to see what it could really offer.
What Is Red Dragon Beta Alanine?
This pre-workout supplement, made by the nutrition company Muscle-Link, is supposed to pack your muscles with Carnosine so that you’ll be able to have more explosive power as well as more endurance to get the most you can out of each workout.
The theory is that by introducing more Beta-Alanine into your body, your muscles will be more inclined to produce carnosine, since carnosine levels are limited by beta-alanine stores, and the muscles will perform better.
Does It Work?
The theory behind Red Dragon Beta Alanine is based on a specific study done on rats in Japan. These rats, who were administered beta-alanine, were found to be able to recover from wounds faster and perform better than those who didn’t receive the beta-alanine.
The researchers believed that with more beta-alanine the rats’ bodies would produce more carnosine, a naturally occurring amino acid that is found in large amounts in fast-twitch muscles, and you would be able to get rid of lactic acid, helping prevent the shaky, burning sensation when your muscles get tired.
Even though the rats were found to recover from wounds faster, it is not clear whether they were able to sustain the workouts for long amounts of time. This means that Red Dragon Beta Alanine might not be as good at increasing your endurance as it claims to be.
Our Opinion:
In addition to our fear of whether Red Dragon Beta Alanine can actually increase your endurance, we also know that too much beta-alanine can cause the painful condition parasthesia. So if you do end up taking Red Dragon Beta Alanine, we recommend doing so with caution and in smaller amounts.
