Pump Fixx Review
Even though your high school wrestling coach might tell you that carbonation can ruin your game and cut your speed in half, Advanced Muscle Supplements has come out with one of the only carbonated pre-workout supplements on the market today.
Although there is conflicting research about the effects of carbonation on an athlete’s body, we decided to look into Pump Fixx to see if it could offer anything other than a bubbly way to start your workout.
What Does Pump Fixx Do?
According to its manufacturers, Advanced Muscle Supplements, Pump Fixx is supposed to be able to trigger the release of fatty acids in the body so that you start using more energy from fat stores rather than from your food.
This means that you’ll be able to carve out existing muscle to make it more defined, and even reveal new muscles that you didn’t know you had hiding beneath a few layers of fat.
Advanced Muscle Supplements also claims to be able to increase the levels of Nitric Oxide in the body so that you’ll have muscles that are “swollen to unthinkable levels.”
Despite the fact that almost every pre-workout supplement claims to be able to boost Nitric Oxide levels, it’s always an encouraging thing to see on a label because increasing Nitric Oxide in the body can have one of the most profound effects on your workout.
Nitric Oxide has the unique effect of vasodilation. This means that your blood vessels will widen and become more relaxed, allowing more blood to flow through at a time.
With more blood your body is able to replenish oxygen and nutrients in your muscle tissues while you’re working out, thus decreasing fatigue and allowing you to workout harder and longer.
Anything To Be Worried About?
Unfortunately, even though Pump Fixx is supposed to increase those Nitric Oxide levels, we didn’t see much in its formula that suggested it would do so.
What we did see, however, is a large dose of Creatine. Although Creatine is responsible for delivering energy to your cells and tissues, it is not able to widen your blood vessels.
Creatine, while an effective energizer, should be used sparingly since it can actually cause kidney damage as well as cause entire renal system failure.
Would You Recommend Pump Fixx?
Even though Advanced Muscle Supplements definitely had the right idea when they were making Pump Fixx, we’re afraid that this pre-workout supplement simply isn’t as powerful as it was supposed to be.
