Pump-Bol Review
Nitric oxide is important for muscle growth because it helps to dilate the veins, allowing for more oxygen and other nutrients to be delivered more efficiently to muscle tussue. Pump-Bol is designed to increase nitric oxide levels before a workout and last for much longer than that.
Thermolife’s Pump-Bol is a pre workout supplement that is meant to increase nitric oxide levels more effectively than any other supplement around. We decided to put Pump-Bol to the test to determine just how great of a product it really is.
The Eye Test
Consumers generally like Pump-Bol. A majority of users experienced muscle gains and increased energy. The greatest benefit people experienced was the extra endurance. One user describes his experience that he had to force himself to stop lifting because he couldn’t actually feel pain in his muscles.
The ingredients in Pump-Bol appear to back up the consumer reviews we found. Pump-Bol contains ingredients like Arginine Nitrate and Beta-Alanine Nitrate which are what give you increased nitric oxide. According to the makers of Pump-Bol. Through nitrate supplementation, you can experience muscle gains for up up to 8 hours after you complete your workout. Normal supplements only last 1 hour.
Increasing nitric oxide levels has been shown to cause side effects that can and should be prevented. Ingredients like Resveratrol and quercetin are designed to fight against free radicals that build up when nitric oxide is increased. Folic Acid is also used in Pump-Bol as a way to prevent nitrate tolerance and maintain the body’s own nitric oxide production. While these ingredients may not directly cause muscle gains, they are crucial to the effectiveness of Pump-Bol.
Another ingredient that may not provide gains directly is Beta-Alanina. Beta-Alanine is the reason why users don’t experience muscle pain while working out. It works to reduce hydrogen ions, which are what cause the burn during workouts. This allows you to get over the workout hump and lift more than you could before.
Finally, Pump-Bol contains Creatine, which is commonly used in pre workout supplements to restore energy to muscle cells and promote muscle pumps. Creatine gives you added strength during workouts, allowing you to lift more and get better results.
Eye Test Score: 9/10
The Safety Test
The only ingredient in Pump-Bol that may lead to side effects is the creatine. Creatine is known for its side effects that include bloating and upset stomach. However, Creatine isn’t the leading ingredient in Pump-Bol and therefore the side effects may be less apparent than other supplements.
Safety Test Score: 8/10
The Taste Test
It’s usually safe to assume that a pre workout powder is going to taste bad. However, Pump-Bol appears to have broken that trend. According to Thermolife, their formula is easily dissolvable and actually tastes good. Consumer reviews agree. Most users report the taste of Pump-Bol to be similar to that of ‘Tang.”
Since most pre workout supplements require you to plug your nose to get it down and leave a nasty aftertaste for hours, Pump-Bol may be a relief to many. We give the taste of Pump-Bol two thumbs up.
Taste Test Score: 10/10
The Wallet Test
This is the biggest downside to Pump-Bol. Thermolife offers Pump-Bol with a money back guarantee, but they charge $83 for one bottle. Other sites offer Pump-Bol for as much as half the price, but they don’t have the same guarantee. Therefore, you put yourself in a dilemma deciding where to purchase Pump-Bol. You either overpay or risk not receiving any results and wasting around $40.
Wallet Test Score: 6/10
Overall Score
Despite the fact that Pump-Bol costs an arm and a leg to buy, it has plenty of potential. If price is the biggest issue, we would recommend starting out purchasing just one bottle from Thermolife with the guarantee. If it doesn’t work, send it back for a refund. If it does work, continue purchasing Pump-Bol from a third party source. Overall, we think Pump-Bol would be at least worth trying out.
