Power Fuel Formula 52 Review

There are many products that claim you can be fitter, faster and workout harder by using their pre-workout supplement.

However, there aren’t as many products that claim you will be able to look and feel like an NFL linebacker after using their drink additive.

That’s why Power Fuel Formula 52 caught our eye. Its manufacturers claim that you can have the power of legendary Ray Lewis by adding this product to your workout routine.

We decided to investigate Power Fuel Formula 52 to see what it was really capable of before we got too excited.

What Power Fuel Formula 52 Does

Apart from promising the type of performance that Super Bowl MVP award winners have, Power Fuel Formula 52 is also promised to intensify your focus and “ignite strength and size gains.”

Their manufacturers, TwinLabs, claims that by mixing one scoop of the Electric Blue Raspberry flavor in with 6 oz. of cold water and drinking 30 minutes prior to your workout, you’ll see such a boost in your performance that you’ll never workout without it.

How Power Fuel Formula 52 Does It

Although TwinLabs is very good at saying what Power Fuel Formula 52 does, they’re not sure exactly to explain how it accomplishes all of this. TwinLabs attributes all of its power to its various muscle blends and, of course, to the inspiration from Ray Lewis.

But after looking at Power Fuel Formula 52’s ingredient list, we saw a heavy dose of Creatine that might be responsible for any gains you see.

Creatine is a nitrogenous organic acid that occurs naturally in the body and helps supply each cell with adenine triphosphate, or energy. Because of its ability to energize your muscles, it is often found in pre-workout supplements.

However, Creatine must be used carefully since some studies report that it can cause kidney failure as well as damage to the entire renal system. Prolonged use was also shown to cause a buildup of formaldehyde in your body.

Would We Buy Power Fuel Formula 52?

Since Power Fuel Formula 52 uses not just one, but five different kinds of Creatine, we don’t think this product is a safe way to build strength.

In this article you state “Creatine must be used carefully since some studies report that it can cause kidney failure as well as damage to the entire renal system. Prolonged use was also shown to cause a buildup of formaldehyde in your body”. However, while reviewing your top rated product, Myonox, which you scored a 5 out of 5 for safety, you wrote ” Every scoop is gushing with creatine monohydrate and beta alanine so you can make the very most of every single muscle contraction over the course of your workout.” Clearly one sentence speaks of Creatine in a negative light while the other sentence implies that Creatine is an excellent ingredient in a pre-workout product.

    Please explain.

Here’s the thing about creatine – creatine is an absolutely fantastic aid for building muscle and getting more pumps with each workout. There are numerous studies proving that creatine works – seriously just google it. There are no known side effects with creatine (with the exception of bloating and cramps, but those can be minimized by drinking enough water) when used correctly – emphasis on correctly here.

The warning with creatine is that it can aggravate existing medical conditions (such as kidney problems), and some newcomers to strength training and exercise give into the hype about creatine and take too much at one time or opt for a cheap, low-quality product that will make them sick. Additionally, creatine is meant to be cycled as its effects wear off over time, and prolonged use can put extra stress on the body. Can you see the positive and negative for creatine yet? It’s a good product, but it must be used carefully as with any other supplement.
