As much as we’d like to tell ourselves otherwise, most martinis aren’t going to improve our workouts that much.
But the Muscle Martini from GAT promises to be a guilt free way to provide your body with the essentials to building leaner, stronger muscles and even helping burn the extra fat that can accumulate and take away from tone and definition.
Even though this martini won’t necessarily kick off our weekend, we decided to take a look into Muscle Martini to see if it could really be the best way to start your workout.
What Does Muscle Martini Do?
According to its manufacturers, GAT nutrition, Muscle Martini is supposed to be able to not only help you build more muscle, but it has been designed to stop the breakdown of muscle tissue and to even curb cravings and eliminate emotional eating.
Its formula has been designed to be low calorie, drawing on lean protein sources like beet root powder to deliver essential and non-essential amino acids to your body to be synthesized into muscle tissue without adding anything to fat stores.
Although it definitely sounds like GAT has done their research in creating an advanced theory for Muscle Martini, we still can’t believe that this pre-workout supplement will actually be able to do any of these things without an effective list of ingredients.
Does Muscle Martini Work?
Despite the fact that GAT doesn’t reveal Muscle Martini’s entire list of ingredients, we found enough information to get a pretty good idea about what this supplement actually runs on.
The majority of this pre-workout supplement’s formula is made up of amino acids, essential and BCAAs. BCAAs are simply “branched chain amino acids” that are characterized by their aliphatic chains that are made of carbon atoms.
Even though it is definitely true that these amino acids are vital to building more muscle mass, and even to good health, there is still conflicting research as to how well they are absorbed when the body doesn’t take them from food.
Many researchers say that they are destroyed by the harsh acidic nature of the stomach, meaning that you would be better off eating some chicken or even some beans for your efforts.
Our Opinion:
Muscle Martini might be a marginally effective way to increase your muscle mass, especially if you’re worried about counting calories. However, if you’re looking for something a bit stronger, there are many other pre-workout supplements out there that we think are more impressive.
