Most of the time, friction can be a bad thing when you’re working out, either leading to chaffing and rashes or a reduced performance.
But because VPX has introduced its latest brand of pre-workout supplements under the name Friction, we thought we better look a little more at the product and a little less at the meaning behind the name.
So in order to find out if Friction is anything more than heat in your undercarriage, we did research on this pre-workout supplement to find out whether or not it can really improve your game.
What Does Friction Do?
According to its manufacturers, VPX, Friction is supposed to supply you with intense amounts of energy and power so that you will be able to do more reps in more sets, allowing you to get more and more out of each workout you do.
Friction is also supposed to offer a high amount of focus so that you are able to move quickly through each workout and have less downtime in between. Since anyone who has been to the gym with a chatty spotter knows how much time dawdling can take, having an increased amount of focus can go a long way to getting a better workout.
But it takes more than words for these dreams to come true and we expected to see some seriously powerful ingredients in Friction’s formula.
How Does Friction Do It?
Surprisingly, there aren’t that many forms of stimulating ingredients in Friction. We did see a large amount of Caffeine Anhydrous, but not enough to make Friction that much different from any other energy drink.
We did see Phenylethylamine, which, although it is also found in many weight loss supplements, is surprisingly unpopular in pre-workout supplements. Phenylethylamine is also called the “Love Drug” because it has been found to be an aphrodisiac as well as a stimulant.
Derived from chocolate, this chemical is able to make the user feel like they have more energy as well as boosting their sex drive. Unfortunately, it is also damaged by the first phase of the metabolism and is rendered useless if administered orally.
Any Other Concerns?
Although Friction didn’t seem to have any majorly effective ingredients, we also didn’t find it to have any dangerous ones. Because this pre-workout supplement is on a clearance sale, we think that you might be able to find it for a low enough price to make it worth your money.
